However, there are now specially designed series of dual-media kilns for people who like to do glass and ceramics on a regular basis.
The main thing that defines a glass kiln is elements in the lid. Dual-media combination kilns feature a lid elements and a switch to turn the lid elements on for glass fusing and off for ceramics. With the lid element large flat glass items get nice even exposure to the heat.
