ENGLISH GROLLEG
Grolleg™ is a blend of English china clay mined in a specific region of Cornwall in the UK. The chemestry of this product is what makes this kaolin so special. Low levels of titania provide unrivaled traslucency that can not be found in domestic Kaolins. A high flux content means you can use more clay and less feldspar, making up for lower plasticity. Grolleg is truly a high performance kaolin, with excellent fired whiteness, strength for plastic making, and good fluidity for casting applications.
You will find Grolleg in formulations for pottery, tableware, and electrical porcelain production. With clay reserves conservatively estimated at between 25 to 30 years, this clay will be available for years to come.
