L&L Kilns JH SERIES
CRYSTALLINE GLAZE CONE 12 KILNS
This L & L electric kiln is the “Thoroughbred” of kilns.
Designed specifically for Crystalline Glaze firing - fast, responsive and precise. The JH kilns were designed specifically for firing crystalline glaze. Each L and L kiln features special higher temperature firebrick for extra high cone 12 firing, extra power for fast heat up, super heavy-duty elements to hold up to the special rigors of crystalline firing, minimal insulation to allow for fast cool down, and type S thermocouples for long life.
Temperature Rating: Cone 12, 2400°F, 1315°C
Power Loading: These kilns come with approximately 25% more power than a regular electric ceramic kiln of similar size.
Loading: Lid position, when open, rests at an angle away from the kiln. Hinge: The hinge of the JD18-JH is not spring-loaded.
Stand: Heavy-duty 14 gauge full solid stand with multiple bends for strength. Bolt on legs.
Assembly: Two or three 9” high sections stack on top of each other. Easy to assemble. Bottom is reversible.
Construction: Stainless steel wrapped around brick with 3 clamps on each section. All stainless screws
Insulation: 2-1/2” K25 firebrick. on side and bottom, 3” K25 on top. K25 brick is rated for 2500 Deg F, is deniser than K23 brick and is more durable.
Brick Coating: Proprietary brick coating included.
Element Holders: Hard ceramic element holders protect brick.
Quad Element Design: Super Heavy-duty, thick elements with 4 wraps per 9” high section.
Element Connections: Proprietary all-ceramic element connection block makes changing elements easy.
Control Panel: All controls and components are mounted in a separate control panel. Mounting and type of panel vary with model number. The control panel and element box are hinged for easy access and maintenance. Control box can be easily removed for servicing. On/off switch and control fuse are included.
Control: DynaTrol with 4 Easy-Fire programs, 6 Vary-Fire programs, PreHeat, Delay, Program & Segment Review, and Diagnostics. Two programs can be combined for one 16 segment program.
Zone Control: Two or three zone (one zone per kiln section) Each zone has a separate thermocouple.
Peephole Plugs: Solid ceramic plugs with full 1” diameter. One per section.
Thermocouples: Type S with alumina protection tubes.
Instructions: Complete visual instructions with control reference, process information, assembly, troubleshooting, and parts list. In addition videos on Youtube shows how how to program.
Warranty: Limited 3 year warranty.
