White Stoneware Moist Potters Clay

White Stoneware is a blend of porcelain and stoneware clays. This gives you the friendly handling characteristics of stoneware with the lighter color of the porcelain components.

These are very popular hybrid pottery clays, whether wheel throwing or hand building and have properties of both fine porcelain and stoneware.

If you like Laguna Miller B-Mix clays you will love our 20231 and 95400. Both are available with or with out grog.

20231 / 20231G has some stoneware and other clays with a base of English Grolleg.

95400 / 95400G is the same but with domestic EPK instead of the grolleg for a more economic version of the same clay. We call this clay "School House". It is quickly becoming one of most popular bodies as it is showing incredible versatility. People are firing it Cone 10 in wood with ash and soda, and gas with and with out soda at cone 6, electric firing at 6 and even for raku ! (version with grog of course if you want to try that). If you had to get one clay for a studio to make everyone happy 95400G is really worth a try.

BEN'S MIX Flashy Porcelaneous White Stoneware Clay for Wood Fired Kilns

Ben's Mix is another stoneware porcelain blend but this body features air-floated Helmer for it's porcelain content. Helmer is extremely flashy in wood and fluxes ash beautifully. This body does not have grog so it throws much more like a porcelain than a stoneware. This is not a clay for beginners but shows amazing results in the right hands
