Shimpo Aspire Potters Wheel Bats :Plastic and Wonderbats
The Shimpo Aspire Portable Potter's wheel has special bat-pin spacing so if you want bats for your Aspire wheel, you will want to get either the Shimpo Plastic Bats or the Shimpo Wonderbats for Aspire shown below.
Most other bats have either 10" or 8" hole spacing for the bat-pins and will not fit on the Aspire Wheel.
They perform similar to plaster in that there is no need to wire off. WonderBats are made from 1/2" think material and thus resists warping and are very durable.
All bats are drilled for standard 3/8" diameter pins on 10" centers and now have reinforced grommets in the pin holes

Natural Sheffield Clay is mined on our property from as seen at one of the open clay pits. The Sheffield Clay deposit is located in Sheffield, Massachusetts, on U.S. Route 7 in the Southwest corner of Berkshire County.
